GUIDED HIKES
You can take part in a wide spectrum of guided hikes during your holiday in our Glacier Hotel Tux – whether young or old, nobody will miss out!
Our tours have varying durations (half a day, whole day) and concentrate on different themes, which our trained hiking guides will gladly familiarise you with, such as cultural landscapes, botany, geology, glaciers and alpine forests.
Of course, we have special offers for families with children, such as our Llama Trekking or the Keilkeller Waterfalls.
The Nature Park, located above our Glacier Hotel Tux, stretches from roughly 1.000 m above sea level to 3.509 m across all the central Alps’ altitudinal zones. Depending on factors such as altitude, exposure, geological composition and development over time, a wide range of habitats, animals and plants can be found in various locations.
Due to the vertical expansion of the high Alpine Nature Park, the number of habitats is very high, and the flora and fauna diverse. Glaciers cover an impressive part of the Nature Park and have always characterised the landscape.
Aside from the natural factors, humans have also made their mark on today’s image of the natural and cultural landscape. The way of life and cultivation of the land are recognisable, shaping the appearance of this diverse and often romantic alpine landscape, an image which is so characteristic of the Alps.
The high mountain Nature Park near our Ski Hotel Gletscher in Hintertux offers various paths to rejuvination. Whether sporty activities, such as mountain hikes, climbing and mountain biking, or long, leisurely and enjoyable walks through the stunning and ever-changing natural landscape, everyone’s needs will be met.
