SUMMER SKIING

… a very special experience!
The Hintertux Glacier, which is located only a few minutes walk from our b&b Ski Hotel Gletscher Tux, is Austria’s only year-round ski region.
Up to 18 km of pistes are prepared across 3250 m to also offer snowy ski fun throughout the summer months. The glacier is also accessible to pedestrians.

The ascent is barrier-free and accessible up to 3250 m. The panorama terrace offers an stunning view of the surrounding 3000 m high peaks.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES

… the Gletscher Hotel Kössler in Hintertux has a special offer for its youngest guests:
Tux hosts a Kids’ programme, leaving no wishes unfulfilled!

Here is a small excerpt of the Fun and Adventure Programme:

  • Great playgrounds (at the Hintertuxerhof and at the Tux-Center in Tux-Lanersbach, as well as in Finkenberg at the outdoor pool)
  • Kids’ ‘Erlebniswelt’ Playarena (with a huge indoor and outdoor adventure programme) every Saturday from 13:00 to 18:00 hrs for € 6,- per person
  • Eggalm Outdoor Boulder Wall – climbing fun 2.000 m above sea level
  • Eggalm Hiking Ralley … Discovery quest in the footsteps of ‘Bergseppl’ with 3 ‘stamp’ stations and a small surprise for kids if they hand in their stamped and filled in card at the valley station
  • Gletscherfloh-Safari … Adventure park with puzzling questions and a treasure map
  • Tuxbach Adventure Path … with various stations, curved slide, play pond, Tarzan zip-line, adventure barn …
  • Family Torch-Lit Hike … evening hike (duration: 1,5 to 2 hours, only during good weather)
  • Flohparks on the Hintertux Glacier (open from July to September) with a snow tyre carousel, giant gondola, bob sleigh piste, Schneefloh photo station and a mini lift (free for children under 10 years of age)
