Jenbach Museum
Exhibitions, photos and documents are on display across 700 square metres at the Jenbach Museum, illustrating the following subjects:

The Tyrol's largest mountain lake
Achensee Steam Rack Railway
The world’s oldest rack railway trains, still powered exclusively by steam, are over 117 years old. Whistling locomotives, hissing and steaming vents, thumping pistons and hammering exhaust noises will guarantee an unforgettable experience.
The Achensee lake is located within 45 minutes drive from Jenbach train station, at an inclination of 16 %. It’s the Tyrol’s largest lake and a direct connection to the Achensee boat ride is available.
Romantic Castle
Tratzberg Castle
Tratzberg castle was built in 1500, high above the Inntal valley between Jenbach and Stans, and served as a hunting castle for Emperor Maximilian I and the Fuggers.
This late Gothic architectural jewel was lavishly furnished in the Rennaissance and has been the residence of the Enzenberg Counts since 1848.
A fascinating audio guide leads guests through the exceptionally well maintained and fully furnished Tratzberg Castle (fairy tale version available for children) – a gripping way to learn about its history.

Krimml Waterfalls
With an impressive height of 380 m across three cascades, the Krimml Waterfalls are the highest in Europe and the fifth highest worldwide. A walkway constructed by the Austrian Alpine Association (OeAV) allows visitors to pass by this breathtaking natural spectacle.
Experience the refreshing mist and the imposing force of the water in the midst of the magnificent mountain scenery at Hohe Tauern National Park.

City of glass
Rattenberg
Roughly 60 km away from our hotel you will find the quaint, medieval city of Rattenberg, nestled up against Schlossberg mountain and encircled by the river Inn. The carefully restored townhouses are home to the 600 inhabitants of Rattenberg – making it the smallest town in Austria. It has also been named the “Glass City”, as it boasts everything that makes glass so especially beautiful: engraved and painted glass, crystal glass, plates, cups, bowls etc., and you can even watch glassblowers at work.
