Vital breakfast… my balanced start to the day
As many of you have seen, our buffet area has been given a new lease of life. As usual, a variety of healthy and local products await you at the breakfast buffet. You can put together your own personal breakfast creation. Especially for all skiers among you, we have put together a few breakfast tips on how you can perfectly prepare for your active day of skiing.
Well-equipped for a day of skiing
Today we would like to introduce you to a particularly delicious breakfast option that will help you start your day of skiing on the Hintertux Glacier feeling energized.
As a little tip: Let yourself be inspired for your home too! With this breakfast, you are also well-equipped for your working day:
1. Sufficient fluids
Of course, you should drink enough water or tea in the morning. This gives your body the opportunity to compensate for its fluid deficit from the previous night.
2. A fresh vitamin boost
At our buffet you will also find fresh seasonal fruits every day (such as apples or kiwis) … as a valuable vitamin boost, so to speak!
2.1. Apple
The apple is considered the most popular power food in Austria. It contains 30 valuable vitamins, minerals and trace elements. These unfold their health-promoting effect in the body and keep us fit and healthy. There is a good reason for the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
2.2. Ginger
We would also like to recommend ginger, which is often underestimated. Although its taste and spiciness are usually a bit unusual for our culture, ginger scores particularly well with its anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, ginger promotes blood circulation in the muscles and has a warming effect – an absolute plus for skiers!
- Serving tip:
Ginger tastes particularly good in black tea. Simply peel the root, grate it finely and hang it in a tea strainer in the tea for a few minutes. Done. - Background information for athletes:
When we do sport, the lactate concentration in the blood increases. This determines whether more fats or carbohydrates are used for training. If the concentration of lactate is too high, fat burning is reduced. If we strain our muscles heavily, they become over-acidified due to the lactate content. Ginger can help to counteract this. It helps to break down the lactate in the muscle tissue.
3. Muesli & dairy products for athletes
Muesli is THE vital breakfast par excellence! The high content of vitamins A and C, as well as the vitamin B complex, score here just as much as its proportion of valuable minerals (iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorus and zinc). The many fiber ensure that we stay full for a long time.
It is therefore recommended that you opt for a delicious vital muesli for breakfast in our Berg Hotel Hintertux.
A fresh mountain farmer’s yogurt tastes particularly good with it. At our buffet you will find fine natural yogurt from our own farm, which the senior manager of our hotel prepares personally for you.
To top it all off, add a few fresh fruits to the muesli and your vital breakfast is perfect.
