Accessibility is important to us

Accessibility Statement

Status: 16.01.2026

The Gletscher Aktiv Hotel Kössler is committed to making its website as accessible as possible and to complying with all applicable legal requirements. This statement refers to the website www.koessler.at, operated by Karina Mader.

Accessibility is implemented on the basis of the Austrian Accessibility Act BaFG, published in the Federal Law Gazette BGBl. I No. 76/2023 of July 19, 2023, and the EU Directive RL EU 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, which must be applied bindingly from June 28, 2025.

State of compliance with the requirements

The relevant requirements arise from the BaFG in conjunction with the aforementioned EU Directive. As part of an internal audit on 01.02.2026, our website was evaluated based on these criteria. It was found that the website largely meets the specified standards.

Non-accessible content

Despite great care and continuous development, some areas could not be fully implemented in an accessible manner. This includes certain color contrasts in image displays. In order to ensure the best possible accessibility, alternative functions such as a contrast switch have been integrated.

We have implemented the following measures to improve accessibility on this website:

Font size

If the font is perceived as too small, it can be easily enlarged using the TT symbol on the right side of the screen.

Color contrasts

Not all color combinations on the website meet the recommended contrast values. However, you can switch to a higher-contrast display at any time using the symbol with the two semicircles on the right-hand side.

Structure of the headings

Individual automated accessibility tests do not correctly recognize some headings. This is due to the technical structure. The Hx structure itself is implemented correctly, so that screen readers can fully capture all content.

Controls, buttons and links

Buttons are designed to be recognized by screen readers and meet the legally required minimum sizes. In addition, they can be fully operated via the keyboard, for example with the Tab key. For technical reasons, no separate link titles are available for text links.

Content outside the scope of the applicable legal provisions

The website contains some content from external providers. No statement can be made regarding the accessibility of this third-party content within the meaning of the BaFG and the EU Directive. They are therefore exempt from the legal requirements of the Accessibility Act.

In addition, the website contains some older content or documents, such as maps of ski areas, which were published before 28.06.2025. This content is not subject to the current legal requirements and is not currently planned for revision.

We make every effort to rectify reported barriers as quickly as possible and to continuously improve the accessibility of our website.
