Kössler’s House Chronicle
Our house chronicle tells of lived hospitality, of generations who are hosts with heart and dedication, and of many small moments that have made our family-run Gletscher Aktiv Hotel in Hintertux what it is today. - 1952: First accommodation of summer visitors in 5 double rooms
- 1960: Expansion by 2 double rooms; in the same year, a central heating system (coal heating) was installed
- 1970: Extension of 8 rooms with shower/WC – already a great progress
- 1986: Conversion of the flowing water rooms to shower/WC rooms
- 1990: Extension of sauna area, 4 single and 1 double room
- 1992: Renovation and redesign of the facade, new insulation of the exterior walls and windows of the Gletscher Aktiv Hotel in Hintertux – Tux.
- 2003: Redesign of the entrance area and relocation of the stairwell, new construction of a passenger elevator in the Gletscher Aktiv Hotel in Hintertux – Tux.
In the same year, new construction of the communal stable outside the village for 22 cows, 14 young cattle and 10 calves.
- 2006: Extension of the restaurant & hotel bar of our Gletscher Hotel Hintertux in Tux. For this purpose, the old and unused stable next to the house was demolished. Hintertux is slowly getting a new face.
- 2008: Conversion of the hotel bar of our Ski Hotel Gletscher into the cozy Bistro/Lounge PIAZZA
- 2015: Completion of the Hintertux hotel parking garage with park and thus 6 covered parking spaces for our guests.
Complete renovation of our vital area with sauna and relaxation room, as well as 2 double rooms. - Since then: ongoing renovation work on our charming double rooms.
