Autumn skiing on the Hintertux Glacier<\/span><\/h2>\n

On your skis, get set, go!<\/span><\/h3>\n

When autumn shows its colorful side in the valley, the days get shorter and the air is noticeably cooler, it’s time for our “sports enthusiasts”: it’s finally that time again! The starting signal for autumn skiing on the Hintertux Glacier has already been given! The glacier ski area awaits the first skiers of the season with the best slope conditions! Leisure athletes and numerous training teams prepare for the winter here, test new ski equipment and make their first turns on snow-covered slopes. <\/p>\n

Thanks to its altitude of around 3,000 meters, the Hintertux Glacier offers excellent winter sports conditions. Also a breathtaking panoramic view at times of the year when other ski areas are still dreaming of snow! <\/p>\n

Pure enjoyment of nature<\/span><\/h3>\n

The overall offer of this only year-round ski area in Austria offers 86 perfectly groomed slopes, a valley run of around 12 kilometers and a 100% snow guarantee for the months of October to May! The Hintertux Glacier is not only the ideal place for alpine skiers – snowboarders and free skiers will also find a true leisure paradise in our attractive snow park with superpipe, kicker, rails and boxes! <\/p>\n

Other highlights include the panoramic terrace at 3,250 meters above sea level, which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding three-thousand-meter peaks, and the “Nature Ice Palace”, a naturally grown glacier crevasse made accessible to visitors!<\/p>\n

The following lifts are already open for you:<\/span><\/h3>\n

From Hintertux, located at about 1,500 m above sea level, you start with the:
\nthe 8-seater Sommerberg cable car<\/strong> or the Gletscherbus 1<\/strong>.
\n With these two lifts you reach the Sommerbergalm at 2,100 m above sea level.<\/p>\n

Continue up into the glacier ski area with:<\/span><\/h4>\n

the 4-seater gondola lift Fernerhaus or the Gletscherbus 2 to the Tuxer Fernerhaus at 2,260 m above sea level.
\nHere the 10-seater Gefrorene Wand gondola lift awaits you. Here you have already reached a mountain height of 3,033 meters and can start your skiing fun. If you want to go even higher into the glacier ski area, choose the 2-seater chairlift Gefrorene Wand 2b. <\/p>\n
