A traditional recipe that should not be missing in any pre-Christmas kitchen is the baked apple with marzipan. This sweet delicacy, enveloped in the scent of cinnamon and rum, transforms every afternoon into a small celebration.  <\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #beca38;\">A brief history of the baked apple <\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the Zillertal, where winter arrives with snowflakes and biting cold, the baked apple has a long tradition. For generations, this sweet, warming treat has been prepared by families to sweeten the pre-Christmas season. The baked apple is considered a symbol of Tyrolean hospitality and is often served as a warm welcome to family and friends.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #beca38;\">Health benefits of the baked apple<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to its delicious taste, the baked apple also offers numerous health benefits. Apples are rich in important nutrients such as vitamin C and fiber, which strengthen the immune system and promote digestion. They also contain natural antioxidants that can help prevent chronic diseases. Baking the apples makes the nutrients easier to digest, while cinnamon and raisins provide additional antioxidants and vitamins. Thus, the baked apple is not only a feast for the senses, but also a treat for the body.    <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #beca38;\">Ingredients of the baked apple:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>4 tart apples (e.g. Boskop)<\/li>\n<li>100 g marzipan raw material<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp soft butter<\/li>\n<li>1 packet of vanilla sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp honey and \u00bd tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp raisins and 3 tbsp rum<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>100 g roughly chopped almonds<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp cornstarch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #beca38;\">Preparation steps of the baked apple:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prepare the raisins:<\/strong><br \/>\nStart by soaking the raisins in rum. This mixture will later give the baked apples a special touch. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Prepare the apples:<\/strong><br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 180\u00b0C.
