An adventure in white. Five idyllic valleys
line one of the most beautiful high-alpine villages - TUX. The
impressive end of the valley is formed by the Hintertux glacier,
Austria's only and most attractive whole-year ski area.
Hintertux Glacier…… 3,000 m above the sea
State-of-the-art ski lifts take you without
delay to the ski area, where up to 60 km of prepared slopes await you.
The Hintertux glacier isn't just the top destiation for skiers with its
86 best-groomed powder snow slopes, a 12-km long downhill and a 100%
snow guarantee from October to May; there is a snowpark of superlative
proportions for snowboarders and freeskiers - the Better Park with
superpipe, kicker, rails and boxes.
Right beside the top station at 3,250 m and
thus accessible even for people on foot, you can find the panorama
terrace with its incredible view of the surrounding 3,000 m peaks and
the Nature Ice Palace, a natural glacier crevasse.
SKI AREA testers have picked the
Hintertux Glacier as the "best glacier ski area of the world".
Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000
Zillertal 3000 – 227 km groomd slopes in the
four snow-secure ski areas Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel,
Finkenberg/Penken – every winter sport fan's dream. State-of-the-art
lifts connect the ski areas, like the 150er Tux (Penken/Finkenberg -
Sonnenplateau Rastkogel) or the new and unique „6y Lattenalmbahn“, a
6-chair lift with weather protection and heated seats (Rastkogel
- Eggalm). There are 30 locations for a quick break during
the day or for après ski afterwards.
Glacier Tour
Put 15,000 altitude meters behind you on 72
km of slopes of all skill levels on the glacier tour through all 4 ski
areas.

sport beyond the slopes:
Winter hiking paths in a romantic landscape,
snow-boot hikes, ski tours, Nature Ice Palace, ice-climbing on the
Hintertux glacier, cave-trekking in the Spannagel cave, winter
canyoning, ice-skating, curling, and much more.
Cross-Country Skiing
14-km classical track from Vorderlanersbach
to Madseit and 14 km skating track between Juns and Madseit are
available for cross-country enthusiasts.
Sledge Runs
Fun for the entire family. Go for a sledge
ride as an alternative to skiing or snowboarding during the day, or
combine a moon-light walk with a subsequent fun sledge ride into the
valley.

All cabins are also accessible by taxi.
CHILDREN
Kids have a lot to do in Tux: children's ski
lessons, parks in the ski areas, funny children's parties, exciting

Bus Connections
In Tux you can leave your car at the hotel
and still be mobile enough to see the entire valley.
Hintertux Glacier Bus
The free shuttle service goes from Hintertux
to the bottom station of the Hintertux glacier.

1-Euro-Nightliner
Don't miss out on the nightlife. The
Nightliner service ends at 2.00 in the morning; use is only 1 EUR per
route / person from Vorderlanersbach to Hintertux. From December 20,
2009, to April 18, 2010.
